I have a subform linked to a tables called log. This has field called ID, date, comments. The user clicks on a button on the subform which gives them a new record to enter text into the comments field. If the user enters some text then goes to another field on the main form then returns to the comments field and adds some text to the current record the following dialog box appears.

This record has been changed by another user since you started editing it. If you save the record you will overwrite the changes the other user has made

Copying the changes to the clipboard will let you see the changes the other user entered, then paste your details back in if you decide to make the changes.

There are three buttons, Save, Copy and Drop. Only one person is using the database and it is not networked. If I chose save then that record gets corrupted.

anyone have any ideas.
