EDIT LINK UNIVERSE?

Hi i am new to this forum. Some of them created an universe and forgot the password. Now i am maintaining the universe. I created new one universe using the link of old universe. I am not able to modify the universe without knowing the password of older one.
How i can modify the universe without knowing the old universe password?.
Can any one help me.

I don't know what you are talking about. Generally if you login as General Supervisor to designer you can able to open any universe. Later save the universe for all user (tick Save for all users option box from File-- save as -- save for all. This will do the trick.

Actual problem :
We issued wrong password to General Supervisor thrice. Its says locked.
(There we created an universe name 'OLD')
After some periods of time. We reinstall the BO and Create new General Supervisor and create an universe 'NEW' using the old universe 'OLD'.(Since we are not able to login general supervisor previously). Now all objects in the 'OLD' are available in 'NEW', but we are not able to modify or drop objects from the universe 'NEW'.

Who are you logged in as???? Are you logging in as GS or a Designer???. Where are you trying to delete the Objects. Possible to provide more info.

Some of the person logged into GS and gave wrong password thrice and its locked. After it is not allowing to enter to Designer. We are not able to modify or drop dimensions and measures. So we copied the Universe in seperate directory and deinstalled the BO. Installed BO in seperate Machine and create new Universe using the older one. Now we can able to use the universe, but we cant to do any modification in that.

Hold on.... Why you need to create a new universe based on old universe... Once you've done a fresh installation and also a repository log into Designer as GS and open the Old Universe that you've copied and create the necessary connection... This should definitely work unless you do other ways... I don't see any reason why u want to duplicate the Universe in the first place... One thing is the Password is related to more with Repository and not with Universe unless the Universe is Password Protected from the Tools - > Options thing.
