I've had an issue brought to my attention by an EC500 user where he is unable to "enable/disable" EC500 from the administered EC500 button on his phone. He states that there is a sideways square next to the button, and when he depresses it, the message "Contact System Administrator" appears on the top line of the phone. Also, when I status his station, EC500 status is 'Enabled', but the Off-PBX Service State is 'out-of-service'.
Most things I try to fix the issue (power cycle the phone, busy/release the phone, etc.) do not work. Usually, the issue fixes itself or, on occasion, logging the extension off and back on will help.
I'm not sure if this is site specific or user specific, but this has only been reported by one user. I believe most users leave their EC500 enabled, so they might not be aware.
