You mean if you were talking on another phone that had an appearance of your ext? Yes, if privacy override is allowed. Then person could just press your DN key and mute the speaker. If that's what you're talking about I'll post the privacy override programming info.

no, if the set is idle, no one can listen to the conversation through the mike... i've been asked about that before.. it's just like any other phone.. a listening device would need to be added to the ckt board of the phone.. if i wanted to bug your office, it would be easier to use the clock or coffee pot... if someone with $$$ wants to ease drop, they will

If they set up Voice Call with Auto Answer on your phone they could listen. But like john said the phone would not really be idle and it should ring once before it answers. Just thought I would throw that out there.

But in that instance, wouldn't they see the call connected on the screen and who it is? Not very stealthy if that's the case.
