Easytrieve in language Environment

We are trying to test compiled Easytrieve (which calls an EC COBOL subroutine) in Language Environment. The EZT accesses IMS dbs. It works fine out of LE, but running in LE it loops for hours, and has to be cancelled by the Ops so I don't get a dump. Any ideas?
