Easy Upgrade Question 1

We have an MICS 6.1 version 30CQE06. This system has a PRI Enabler with MCDN and is tied to an Option 81 with a Point to Point PRI. Any sets that forward no answer to extensions on the 81c intermittently do not forward. I can access the Norstar, make a simple S/W change, wait for "Update Complete" and then forwarding works for little while.

There are several threads on here stating that 30CQE06 has a lot of bugs, especially regarding PRI. We are ordering 7.1 to upgrade and hopefully clear this issue.

Everything I've read indicates I do not need an upgrade tool when going from 6.1 to 7.1. Is this correct? Do I simply replace the 6.1 S/W card with the 7.1 card and boot up? Will I keep my PRI and MCDN keycodes?

Yes CQE06 was buggy and replaced with 6.1MR

Make sure last yahoo put in rls 2 NVRAM, if not then replace.

-Power down
-Swap software
-Power up

Loose nothing but always backup first in case of failed upgrade and need to restore back and try again.
