Hi everyone,
Our NetWare server could really use some more memory, and from what I can tell, it is as easy as swapping out the old and swapping in the new. It looks like it currently has SDRAM DIMM ECC memory (PC100?). Our total memory is 327MB or so and is comprised of three sticks with the fourth slot empty.
Aside from the actual opening of the case and replacement of memory, should anything else be involved? In my experience with desktop computers, the memory is always found automatically after a memory upgrade or replacement.
I know in the old days of NetWare, I think you needed to adjust this manually with the REGISTER command? Is this still true?
Thanks for any help that can be offered.
- Matt.
