How the heck do you close a form by formname?

docmd.Close acForm, "formname"

Is not working?

Any thoughts?

Works in my version, what happens, what errormsg...

- sure you've spelt it correctly, do you have any routines going that might prevent the form from closing (cancel in the unload event), is it a subfom... - more information please

Well, I was not really sure where to put it...

Now that you have verified it then I know it works... I will have to look elsewhere to see why it is not closing>?
