at least i hope it's easy. I want to display the year as a column heading in a report, only I need to display the current year, last year, and 2 years ago. Is there a format that can do this? I've tried =Format((Now(), "yyyy")-1) but that doesn't seem to work.

Any help is much appreciated.

You know, as a career, I don't want to do that."

Hi,

FYI, the reason that your Format approch did no work is that the Format function returns TEXT.

remou, that did it thanks. Probably one of the easier starts you'll earn! I could swear I tried that, but maybe I used getdate() instead without thinking. Skip, thanks for the format lesson!
