For those that don't know, the Easter Eggs I am referring to are little tidbits that programmers bury inside the applications they develop. Just thought that I would share a few of them with everyone. (Just another way to break up the monotony of the day).
Excel 97 - Flight Simulator - Credits
1. Open new Excel workbook
2. Hit F5 (Go To)
3. Type X97:L97, hit enter
4. Press Tab key
5. Hold Ctrl-Shift and click the Chart Wizard toolbar button
6. Use mouse to steer, use buttons for forward/reverse
- Find the pedistal for the credits
7. ESC to exit
Word 97 - Pinball - Credits
1. Help > About
2. Ctrl-Shift and click on the Word logo
Outlook 97 - Credits
1. Create new contact named 'Ren Hoek'
2. Select the contact
3. Help > About
4. Ctrl-Alt-Shift and click OK
WinNT
1. Control Panel > Display > Screen Saver
2. Select 3D Text
3. Try these for the display text (Settings)
"I love NT"
"not evil"
"Volcano"
Excel 2000 - Spy Hunter
1. Open new Excel Workbook
2. On a blank worksheet File > Save as > Save as web page
3. Select Publish and Add interactivity.
4. Save file under any name
5. Load page with IE, Excel will appear in the webpage
6. Cell WC2000
7. Highlight Row 2000, press Tab to make column WC active
8. Ctrl-Alt-Shift and click on the Office icon
