I'd like to update a few PC's to SP2 over the Internet via Remote Desktop or VNC connections (already setup).
Two problems:
1) once the default update process occurs, there's some silly dialog about Windows Updates on the first reboot. I need to avoid that.
2) the firewall promptly kills my remote access to the machine. I need to prevent that firewall from enabling - there's already a software firewall installed.
I can't be alone in this situation. What's the easiest way to do this update remotely? I've seen some documents geared towards slipstreamed SP2 installs - but that's not applicable, as far as I can tell.
Any hints would be appreciated.
