Easiest way to import Exchange 5.5 mailboxes 2

I am loading Microsoft Windows 2003 SBS on a new server am looking for the easiest way to migrate mailboxes from the old NT 4.5 SBS Exchange 5.5.

I would use Exmerge for this.

Will that also bring over custom mailboxes and groups, basically everything (Mail, Global Groups, Custom Mailboxes) from the old Exchange 5.5 server?

No, exmerge just imports mailboxes. I would install E2K3 in the same organization and then use the move mailbox wizard. That's pretty easy and it also copies the mailbox rights, users,...

Use the migration tool. If you build the Ex2003 server into your current exchange environment, with a click of a mouse you can use the migration wizard to copy over the users mail, contacts, settings, and everything.

There are numerous whitepapers on this.
