Hey, does anyone know what the E_SHUT message on the LCD screen of a TN801B MAPD board means? Also, is it possible to reboot the board w/o rebooting the entire Avaya system? Thanks for any help!!

Yes, you can reboot the MAP-D without affecting the Definity. Press and hold the 'boot/restart' button under the LCD display for 2 seconds. It should flash 'MSHUT'. When it shows a steady 'MSHUT' you can unplug the MAP-D. Wait 10 seconds and plug it back it. It will automatically reboot.

'ESHUT' indicates an error shutdown (page 4-7).

Below is the link for the Avaya document for the MAP-D.

Thanks 4merAvaya! Another question: when you say "unplug the MAP-D", do you mean unplug the D-connector from the back of the board, or unplug the board itself from the cabinet? I just want to make sure I do every step correctly. Thanks for your help :)

Unplug the MAP-D assembly (board) from the carrier. Leave the rear connector in place.
