The entire log for the job:
ARCServe for Windows 2000 -- Backup
E9001 Unable to allocate memory. (SIZE=732)
Verify With CRC Backup(s)
I am getting the above error message when attempting to run several jobs at once. This usually happens overnight, but I think it kicks in when there are about 7 or more jobs running concurrently.
The job that gets this error doesn't back up anything, doesn't report a status, but stays in a "ACTIVE" state, stuck in limbo. The only way I have found to free up this job is to reboot the server.
I don't believe this is a physical memory error, as the box has about 3.5 GB of RAM. Yes, I said GB.
I remember seeing reference to a patch at some point for a problem running 8 or more jobs, but I can't seem to find reference to it now. I think it may have either been for a previous version, or superceded by an SP.
Any thoughts or ideas?
Envirionment: NT4, AS2000 SP3, a couple of large LTO libraries with lots of drives, but due to this problem, I don't seem to be able to use them all.
