When doing a bricks level backup on exchange 5.5 from Arcserve 2000 (rel 11), it gets about half way through then the E8602 error appears.

The backup agent RPC server on the exchange machine then fails and I ger the below error in the agent log.

PID 718: TID:651> READREFERENCE() WARNING! Not enough space in cachebuffer for 64k data. The rest part will be read in later.

Any ideas?

Have both your Arcserve and the exchange client been patched to the latest level?

Does this problem occur at the same time on each backup? If so, you might have a problem with one of your mailboxes. Could be a good idea to put the exchange agent into debug mode to see whats occuring when the problem happens.

Both Exchange client and Arcserve are the latest levels. It doesn't fail on the same mailbox every night. Once the first mailbox fails the RPC service hangs and all subsequent mailboxes fail.

How would I put the agent into debug mode and would it give me any more info than the log files at present?

Thanks
