E3855 Unable to position media

I have installed arcserve 2000 to the server. When I try to make Backup I always get the same error msg(E3855 Unable to position media) but if I try to format, or erase, or scan the tape I have no problem. Only when I try to backup.

Please help!!!!!!!

Althought my problems were not identical here is an I deal. I once had a machine that would seem fine while you were manually doing stuff, but automated jobs that ran over night had about a 50/50 success rate. My problem ended up being the scsi driver for the scsi card. The one NT loaded kinda worked, but once I loaded the exact one all worked fine. Hope this helps.
