Hi,
If using putty make sure you select RAW as a connection type.
Open two Putty Sessions, one to Mitel IP Address port 2002, and another session to Mitel IP Address port 2007.
the one to port 2002 is your main processor, and 2007 is your new E2T.
wait until session to 2007 reboots and stop it when prompted (Space Space Space). The complete every field as necessary:
-Inet on ethernet (Enter the new E2T IP address followed by the mask in hex format, i.e. 192.168.1.3:ffffff00)
-host inet (Here you need to enter your Mitel main processor IP address, i.e 192.168.1.2
-gateway inet (your gateway)
-user (enter ftp)
-password password (enter @)
-flags (enter 0x0)
All this is in the technicians handbook.
If your E2T does not reboot, then go to your putty session to 2002 and enter ToggleCPU 1
I'm not sure if it is ToggleCPU1 or ToggleCPU 1 with a space
after you manage to set the IP address to the E2T, make sure you enter the command UpgradeBootrom ALL so you upgrade the firmware. This is done from the command line where you normally enter maintenance commands
I am attaching a guide that summarizes the process, it's ins spanish but sure you will understand. Also, you will find a secure telnet if you don't want to use putty.
good luck, enjoy
daniel
