Our carrier is trying to configure an IPO-500 to act as a selective SIP gateway and E1 pass-through. Our legacy switch is configured to use the carrier's E1 with R2-CAS signalling.

The carrier's E1 connects to the IPO-500 E1 #1, then the desired DID numbers are sent out on the SIP trunk to another switch in another location. The remaining inbound DID calls are sent to the IPO-500 E1 #2 and on to the legacy system.
Inbound works OK (we loose the ANI on the E1 calls, but that's O.K., we are not using ANI for any business case.).
Outbound from the legacy system into the IPO-500 on the E1 #2 is a problem if we need to dial more than 9 digits. The E1 cards can only be configured to receive a max of 9 routing digits which are then passed on out the #1 E1 to the carrier.

Is there a workaround where the maximum routing digits can be increased to 15 or more to handle international calls, or could the ANI digits (which seem to be less limited in max number) be used as the field to be passed back out to the carrier?

Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge and suggestions.

I am not sure, but you are using the wrong Manager for that system level You need 6.2.20 :-)
