When going into the outlook contacts to send mail I notice that e-mail and business fax contacts are displayed. When looking at the fax number properties you see that the number is listed as an e-mail (i.e. display name: business fax and e-mail: fax number).

How can i prevent the fax numbers from listing when trying to send e-mail?

Thanks

Ahh yes. This is one of those annoying features that Microsoft implemented starting with Outlook 2000. There is no way to turn this feature off that I am aware of. I'm sure Microsoft implemented this to benefit those few large companies that have internet faxing capabilities.

The only way that I have gotten around this is to not have Fax numbers in the Contacts. I would cut the fax number out of the contact, click on the Bus Fas drop down list, select something like telex, and then paste the number in the box.

Can be very tedious process if you have a lot of contacts with fax numbers.
Is it Happy Hour yet?
