E -mail slow

I realy have a problem on one of the laptops in the office. this laptop belongs to the highest bos and i need to fix this as soon as possible PLESE HELP ME!
Problem: When this person is in his house the email is receiving normaly, but as soon as this person comes into the office and he press sent receive this takes for ever...

I cant see why anymore tried what i could but no luck....
he is using office 2003 and the exchaneg server is on his local subnet.
