I setup windows server 2003 on a server with two nics. I share the internet using ICS from one nic to the other. DHCP setup. The problem am having is that users on the network can't access there e-mail using Microsoft outlook. the e-mail is from the company that's hosting the our domain. If i connect the workstations to the router directly the e-mails work but once i go through the server they don't. Any help?

Why are you using ICS? Do you have a router (Lynksys or something that connects you to the internet?) If so, I would disable ICS and use the hardware routing.

If you don't have a router, I would suggest that you buy one. Even a small 4 port DSL/Cable router would work fine for a small company. ($60)

In any case...
Do you have a domain setup? If so, you have to make sure that your clients are all using your internal DNS server. Then make sure that your DNS server is forwarding DNS requests to the ISP DNS servers.

This way, when your clients want to find for example, they will first query your local DNS servers and then get forwarded to the ISP DNS servers. The ISP DNS server will eventually resolve to an ip address.

Use NSLOOKUP command on the clients to troubleshoot your DNS structure.

As a work around, you might be able to point your clients Outlook to the exact IP addresses for the ISP mail servers instead of using FQDN's.

-hope some of this helps..
