E-Mail Link Opening An Internet Explorer Window As Well

I've set an email link in my PDF document, by setting the preference of world wide web, and changing the URL to mailto:tlaskowski@lovejoy-inc.com.

It works great and opens my email utilitiy, but it is also opening a internet explorer page as well. The page defaults to a not found message, and I noticed the email address is embeded in the address section of explorer.

Anyone know how to fix this???
