Here's the plot and anyone have an opinion here?

E&M card in MICS expansion cabinet; Computer modem, loop start attached to it; DISA set up to allow line pool access.

Would this provide DS signalling to modem card?

Currently modem card only recognizes loop interupt DS from telco. I want to route modem calls through an ATA device and out onto a PRI, but am having difficulty with the call tear down between VMI and modem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

why not hook the modem up to the ata and use your destination code to acces outside lines, if you need in bound assign a target line!

Use a BRI-U card and pull an NT loop off the channel.
Plus a BRI-U modem with an analog port and plug the fax directly into the loop. You'll get name and number and disconnect supervision. you pull B channels from the PRI by assigning PRI line access to the BRI DN.
Not for the squeamish.

Aragon,

Cool idea! That would solve the DS problem between the VMI and dialogic type card. I'll be in touch on that one. Mean time I tracked down Konexx. They make an ATA with 500ms DS for Norstar. Pricing isn't too bad either. I've ordered one already so we'll see how that goes.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Endlesswinter: it is DS between ATA and computer card I need. Tear down of the call from the KSU side needs to notify the computer. Cheers
