dynamically assigning colors 1

I was wondering if it was possible to assign a color for the text of a label or a td bgcolor via javascript?

one other thing....the code works fine in IE. but the colours don't change in Netscape. Is there a fix for this?

netscape doesn't support css as well as ie (well, netscape 6 does)
there are plenty of sites with nice tables showing which element support css in which browser ... there is no real fix ...
