I have a windows 2000 server, running exchange 2000.

I installed a second hard drive in the system, and want to establish a mirror between my C drive (which olds win2k and exchange - it is currently a basic volume) and my E: drive (currently empty, a dynamic volume.)

In order to mirror the C drive, I need to upgrade it from a basic to a dynamic volume.

Can anyone think of any problems with upgrading this volume?
Is exchange compatible with mirrored drives in general?

I would buy some hardware RAID. I have heard some disaster stories with Windows RAID. Have used hardware RAID with exchange, works great. One of my drives went down, i didn't notice until i got the error message. Replace the drive and viola!

But this was hardware, not sure how windows handles it. I don't like leaving all the fault tollerance to windows.
