Dynamic reloading of Java class files in CF 5

Good afternoon. We could use some help.

We have a problem with changes that we make to Java class files not being recognized by the CF server after loading these new files into the correct directory. We have found information about the way to fix or enable the dynamic loading of Java class files when using the MX version of CF. This appears to work fine with the MX version but is there a way to dynamically reload class files in CF 5? We compile and then copy the class files to the JVM directory specified in the CF Administrator and the application sees and uses the file fine if and only if we stop and then restart the Cold Fusion services on the server. However, we are in a development environment and at this point, when we modify our Java objects and create and copy new class files, which we do often, it is not practical to have the server admin personnel stop and restart the CF services to get the new objects to work correctly. As application developers, we are not able to stop and start services ourselves on servers located remotely. Is there something that can be set on the server or coded in our Java objects or CF application code to insure that the server uses the latest copied/loaded class files?

(We have several servers running Cold Fusion 5 and it is not immediately practical to move to the MX version.)

Thanks for any help you can provide..

Bill

This is a question which you'll get a better answer for at:

Macromedia's official cold fusion support forums... I'd say that we at TT give better response on TT but the software itself? Macromedia has staff reply to posts where needed so they should be able to help better and faster (After hours, this forum is pretty much dead.. mostly US folk here I guess).

Thank you webmight. We have posted this request to the Macromedia forum, and are awaiting a response now. Again, thank you for responding.
