Dynamic Linking

I need to make a database in golive, but when I go to the source content to select the config folder it tells me that the server is invalid. I am using the Windows internet information server to act as a server till I get the databse done. Has anyone else ever run across this? Any help with dynamic linking at all would be helpful! Thanks!
