Is IP Office sys capable of marking packets for voice so it can send the voice over a private MPLS using CoS?

Setting up a PAETEC DyIA (dynamic integrated access) P2P link between 2 sites, they want to know if the IP Office Control unit can mark packets using CoS for priority over an MPLS link.

I know the IP phones do 802.1p/q layer 2 CoS but does the control unit also mark the packets with CoS tags and diffserv tags?

yes,

look under in manager under system, lan, gatekeeper

I am aware of the Diffserv settings on the gatekeeper tab, what they are asking me is if the control unit marks packets for CoS or Class of Service.

All RTP Packets at Layer 3 are tagged with Diffserv as per post by gknight.

Point 1
The IP Office Base Unit supports no L2 COS directly, only Diffserv as above

Point 2
IP phones do however have the ability to TAG 802.1q Prority 1-7 @ Layer 2 when in a Vlan enviroment.

Hope this helps

Question can somebody confirm that Point 1 is still valid for SOE.
