DWMX using FTP and "put" function

Using DW MX I set up my site and my remote info and tested it and it connects to server no problem, but when I click on the "put" arrow or go to site/put etc. it does everything its supposed to ( asks about independent files etc and says its uploading to site on server etc. but no changes actually show up on the remote site.
I then tried to manually move the local file over to the remote site and that worked.
I've never had trouble with the 'put' function before -- any suggestions?

Have you got the 'Refresh remote file list automatically' checkbox checked in the site definition?

It might be working ok just not displaying it - i.e. waiting for a refresh. Blood, Sweat But No Tears!

Yes, refresh was selected-- I figured out that I had not put the exact folder name in the host directory and so it was sending the put stuff up randomly onto the server.
