DW2 isn't showing gifs?

For some time now my dreamweaver 2 is not showing *.gifs when previewing a page. It does show *.jpgs and all other elements. Have I changed a preference somehow?

There could be numerous reasons for this problem. It happened to me when I returned the gif to Photoshop and retouched it after I had saved it as a gif from the original Photoshop document. So once you copy an original as a gif or jpeg, you have to leave it alone -- unaltered. If you have to make changes, go back to the original Photoshop version, for instance, and touch up the original, then copy that original as a new gif or jpeg for use on the web. You might also have two gifs listed in your site with the same name.
