DW sluggish with Site window open

The program zips along nicely when I leave the Site management window shut but the moment I open it the whole thing slows to a frustrating crawl. I have checked the option in the Define Sites box that enables me to cache locally instead of calling files up from the office server where our files are kept but .... WAIT!!!

I have answered my own question!!

If I leave the other option in that window "Refresh local file list automatically" UNchecked everything works fine and fast.

Um - about 511MB I think. Sure helps. Like fine wine and good companionship one can never have enough.
