DW 8 cannot connect to host

Anybody who can assist. When trying to connect to ftp server I keep getting "an fpt error occured - cannot make connection to host"
Think I have tried all possible ways now, but still same result.
When using cute ftp it connects instantly.
Other page made in DW8 connects without any problems (to other server) I'm running Windows Vista and have given accept that DW can connect through Firewall.
Have been able to connect when using Windows XP

try stopping your firewall all together and see what happens
