When I play DVD movie in Power DVD 5 Application. The Sound on the movie is not clear. It breaks and its really frustrating. I changed the DVD ROM. Sound Card but its still the same. It works perfectly fine on other system with same Power DVD 5.0. At first I thought taht It could be a DMA issue so I enabled the DMA in both CD ROM but its still not working. The Operating System is Windows 2000 Pro Sp 4. Any Idea.

Put an audio cd in the drive and play it by itself and tell us if the sound is clear or fuzzy. If the sound is fuzzy my guess either bad drive or bad audio cable on the drive. Let us know the results.

The Audio CD plays Fine. I had this same problem on other system. I couldnt solve so I left it and now I have a same problem on a different system. I am not sure about the audio cable but I have changed the CD ROM drive. But I will change the audio cable and let you know. Thanks

Check for a graphics card driver update and update direct x on your system. I had the same problem which was due to the graphics (video) driver not being able decode the DVD playback properly.
An update sorted it out.

I have updated direct x and graphic card drivers. I was browsing on the internet and I found that PowerDVD 5.0 have this type of problem. I dont know. Thanks for your input.
