dvd self ejects

after my dvd drive has sat there ,idle, for some time, it pops the disk tray out.nothing i'm doing is concernes with dvds.any clues ?

using NERO but it doesn't burn dvds

update... dvd ejects sometimes when internet dial-up taking place...also doesn't self-run...suggestions ???
