DVD R/W Fails to Read Protected DVD's

Hi all,

For some reason my CD/DVD R/W has stopped reading DVD films?
It reads DVD's fine and reads CD's (copy protected etc)

Can anyone help?

Check the region code setting for your DVD drive. It should be set to Region 1 for the U.S.

Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager. Find your DVD drive and go to Properties.

If you are unable to set the region code here, go to the DVD drive manufacturer's website and look through the help section. They may have a utility you can download to help set it.

Check this, about the Region Code, if you are NOT from the US, it goes into detail about the REGION CODES and to where you are localized should be set according to CDOGGs description...
