Hey all
ok, here's the deal .. I was trying to figure out why my 16x4x16 burner is burning at 1.5x .. which i've never had a problem with before .. so I checked the DMA setting in the secondary IDE channel in device manager.. it was on PIO ONLY .. I changed it to DMA if avalible and restarted.. I went back ... it's still on DMA, but says current transfer mode PIO .. so i'm like .. HUH?!
following some other advice i'm told to uninstall the IDE channel and restart, that it would auto set it up by itself to DMA .. so that's what i did, it started to install.. but now it says error during installation driver not meant for this platform .. I can see my CDROMS, but there's an <!> on the device .. it's surely not happy with what I've done ..
where do I get drivers for such a thing I've checked SOLTEK's Website (SL-85DRS2) I've scanned it from windows update .. it started to install and errored ..
I'm somewht lost on this issue..
Running Windows XP SP2 ..
unfortunatley I cannot say when it changed to PIO .. because i'm made many changes and not used the burner.. so i can't really backtrack.
