Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to start a duplicating job which uses multiple storage units.

This is the situation:
- 1 Win2003 NB 5.0 Master/mediaserver with 1 storageunit containing 2 SDLT drives.
- 1 Win2003 NB 5.0 Mediaserver with 1 storageunit containing 2 SDLT drives.
Every day at 7:00 PM the backups start using the "any available" storage unit, so all 4 drives are used for the backup. The backup ends at about 3:00 AM. At 3:30 AM the VERITAS\NetBackup\bin\goodies\duplicate_images.cmd script is started to duplicate the backups of the last 10 hours for offsite storage. This script uses the bpduplicate command which requires you to mention the storage unit it should use for the duplicating. Because you can only mention one storageunit only 2 of the 4 drives are used for the duplicating. Therefore the duplicating runs untill 11:00 PM.
Is there any way to let the bpduplicate command use both storageunits (4 drives)? I already tried adding both storageunits to a storage unit group named "all-tapedives" and using the storage unit groupname with the bpduplicate command. This didn't work. The job exits with the error "Error bpduplicate(pid=3820) cannot find storage unit all-tapedrives: no entity was found (227)"

Thanks,

Louis
