Hi:
Can anuone comment on redundancy and duplication in MD110.
What happens if a fully duplicated system encounters a problem in active side?If the answer is a side change will take effect,it means that the calls will be interrupted.which means that MD110 is not a Hot Standby switch and if this is through, how does Er... declares a 99.999% reliability?
How can we make MD110 more secure (I mean prevent a traffic interrupt incase of a problem?

It's true - Any calls in progress when a control system side change occurs are dropped. This is only a "blip" though - much less than a second of downtime, which in one months activity is far better than 99.999% availability (99.99997% actually).

Incidentally, duplicated group switches can change sides without traffic interruption.
