Duplicate Entry Message

I've set a field as Index no duplicates, but if I enter i.e. W9321 and W 9321 it will not give me a duplicate entry message because of the space in between the W and the 9. How can I set it so that it will catch the duplicate entry even if there are spaces?

By not allowing space inside: Not Like "* ?*"
