Still recovering from a dirty crash...
Exchange Server 2003 running on Win 2003, all service packs applied to both. Desktops running Outlook 2003 with Exchange Cached Mode enabled.
Exchange Server crashed dirty when UPS ran out of juice. Databases were corrupted to a point that none of the recover options were working, so I deleted the databases, re-created them and restored the mailboxes from backup.
After doing this, all of my mail-enabled public folders now show up twice in the GAL. The first entry is the correct address, PublicFolder@domain.com whereas the second entry is incorrect, PublicFolder2@domain.com
I've tried to manually edit the GAL and waited 24 hours for it to update on my workstation, but still no luck. When I disable Cached Mode, the directory looks fine, just a single entry. As soon as I go back to Cached Mode, duplicate entries.
Please help before I pull out what little hair I have left. These folders are used for daily logs and remote job sites are getting bounced back messages as undeliverable when they select the wrong duplicate entry.
