DUMP PROBLEM

Hello,
Our customer has 8 LIM MD110 BC12 systems.We could not able to DUMP.The printout is like this;

BUFFER TRANSFER ERROR 12:48 08SEP06
FAILED IN LIM004 DDGM.

We restarted the DDGM and related PU's and give RFEXI command but noting has been changed.
Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

hi

you need to send IODDP and CNBIP in NIU/NIU2 position.

If set up as standard, pull NIU and reseat, block EQU 0, FIMOE SUBFS11/21/TMFS, FIFTI, FIMOI, unblock EQU 0 and DUSYI.

But best to send in prints first to nake sure,

The issue is buffer transfer.
first do an SFCEI;

then restart INM (normally located in LIM 1) and INR in all units :

RFPUI:UNIT=INM,LIM=1;
Y;
RFPUI:UNIT=INR,LIM=ALL;
Y;

wait a bit en then

DUSYI;

If that fails,

try to restart LIM 4 :

RFLII:LIM=4;

DDGM is commom function unit and usually is placed in LIM 4,5.
It looks like problem with GJ connection. Try restart PCM lines to LIM4.

parnum,whosrdaddy and cfrei, I have tried all you have suggested but the result is the same.
The result of FIFTI was FOR SYSSUBFS11 AND SYSSUBFS21:
TEST NOT OK

[ SUBFILE SYSTEM IS CORRECTED BY THE FUNCTION TEST ]

But we still receive the same error while trying to dump.

when you DUSYIUMP=ALL; does it still fail on DDGM?

if this is the case, it is clear you have a datacorruption in that unit. please contact you E/// provider to fix this issue.

Yes,
We tried to restart DDGM.Also we remove the DDGM from system but in this situation CTLMP unit gives same error.

Do you have any faulty signal CONAUX from INR to LSP in that LIM when doing HIMDP?

It IS problem with Groups Switch connection to LIM4. If your MD has Limdispo according to E///, then DDGM PU number 11D is placed in LIM4,5. Next unit is CTLM PU number 172,placed in 4,8.
In my experiences,the good way is restart Group Switch, or sometimes is need disconnect GJUG board from magazin.
Please,look on CNLIP:LIM=4 command if
INTER LIM SIGNAL PACKET LENGTH CAPABILITY
is 90.

Hi..We have tried all SFCEI,RFPUI and also RFEXI..
We don't receive CONAUX in HIMDP. And Inter Lim Signal Packet Length Capability is 90..
cfrei, we will try to restart GS. Thx..

since I am certain this is a data corruption,
a data reload will solve this too:

restarting the GS will also trigger a data reload...

this was problem with GS link, but if problem with link is clear you may need to re-FICRI REL1 and then DUSYI;

but send prints here first before FICRI.

parnum, ficri wont do any good!

the MD110 want's to copy the unit DDGM from LIM4 to LIM5. so the NIU/HDU comes not into play here...

Hello My Friends,
This system has 8 LIM's and from LIM5 to LIM8's are remote.They are connected over radiolink and we have another problem with these connection ..From LIM5 to LIM8 are out of order.Murpy is around here..Excuse me to not send some printouts which you want.Because it is not good idea to send this printouts with this situation..(Lots of concurent and historical alarms)..Please could you write any of idea how to fix this DUMP prolem.I will apply all this suggestions after we solve this transmission problem between local and remote LIM's.

I think the only way getting out of this situation is doing a FULL reload of the system AFTER getting the links fixed...

Hi Bolivar,

Before reload you shall replace all the neccessary boards for LIM4 and give another try. Change GLUG, GJUL, LPU, LSU, DSU ....
