Dumb terminal stuck on option11c? 1

I have an old meridian Option 11c and I can't get any input on the terminal. I have a small blinking arrow at the bottom of the screen that points upwards, and any key I press the system just beeps at me. The printer will say "busy" constantly until I unplug the printer, then it'll say not ready.. when I plug it back in, it'll say ready.. but then go back to being busy.

I've reset the terminal and that doesn't work either.

This started when I tried to log in to the system and tried to get into the meridian voicemail system(by typing ax..) then this started.

So I'm not quite sure where to go from here... I realize I'm being pretty vague.. but I don't have a lot of details to go on..

any thoughts?

I'd start with "Ctrl R" to see of you are just in MerMail - that refreshes the screen.

worked great. I was in MerMail, the display was just messed up.

I'm curious as to why rebooting the terminal didn't do this.

I'll make sure to keep this in mind.

Rebooting the terminal won't change the control message it previously sent when you did AX. Rebooting also won't tell MerMail to do a screen refresh. It's kinda dumb the way they made the MerMail screen just sit there blank isn't it.

Rebooting the "dumb" terminal has nothing to do with the PBX. It is just displaying what it is told to. CTRL R redraws the PBX output I believe.

control R refreshes the Mermail screen only, not the PBX
