There are 2 issues I would like to clear up.
1) One is I have a DOS 6.22 upgrade. Will this
a) Install over my Win 98 or
b) Will it install "under" win 98?

If it installs over.. how would I create a dual operating system?

The easiest way to dual (triple or quad) boot
O/S's is to purchase SYSTEM COMMANDER software from V Communications. Each time the PC starts, a 'menu' is displayed where you can select which O/S you want.

Dave, if i install System Commander will I be able to still use an upgrade or will i need the full dos 6.22 version?

You need the full DOS versions. (They will
be treated as seperate O/S's).

I have WIN98 and Windows ME
Is there any way I can have both on the same system without one OS over-writing required files for the other OS?
(ex. WinME over-writing settings used by Win98)

PS. Id Rather not Partition my HD, I tried with PM5 and it screwed up everything

um, you use partitions, put one on one partition, and the other on the other, and see if you can get a boot loader to chose which one to boot up on, right now I dual boot between Linux and WinME
Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)
well mandrake 7.1 (both $1.98 if you buy it from linuxmall.com for 2 CDs) or download it free anywhere, it has something called winLinux or something that allows you to install linux onto a windows Fat32 partition, and run it off the same partition with windows, windows is still the primary booter, you just run the execuatble to start linux once you're in windows(or dos I belive).

although I feel it runs a hell of alot better if in it's own partition.
Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in : C++(both VC++ and Borland),VB1(dos) thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, HTML, Visual InterDev 6(ASP(WebProgramming/Vbscript)
