Hello,

I thought it would be a good idea to shove a second network card in my server to improve traffic, redundancy and allow for VPN routes.

However, Im unsure of the extact procedures to set both cards up to traffic is shared and both cards function.

At present, only network card 1 can be pinged
net card 2 cant

Any help greatly received and appreciated

Thanks alot

Is WINS or DNS (what ever you use) have records for the IP of the 2nd NIC? If not, you can add them manually.
If you are using DNS, you can set the records to use round robin so you do load balancing.

Hi,

This makes sense but basically, the mainproblem is from the server

No network access beyond LAN when both NICS are enabled, disabled second one, and works fine.

Ideas greatyly appreciated

Thanks

First of all you must to install and set up a RRAS on your server. Add your server, then right click on it , the configure! The Wizard is very understandable.
Your current problem happens , possible, because or routing table... see route print at command prompt.
