I have an HP203n that came with an "on board" video card. Since I want to run games, I had a nVidia 440 64mg card installed. Now I'm running my TV off the nVidia card (for games) thru an S connector, but when I plug in a second monitor (to use for programming NOT at the same time as I'm running games) it only shows the wallpaper of the TV monitor(without icons, task bar, etc.) I don't believe my new nVidia card is reading the second monitor. I just want to see the same thing on both screens. I think I need some advice. Thanks.

See if you can get some clues here.

If you type multi monitors in the Help and Support program several articles will be found, even more if you do it while online.

I am at work at the moment so cannot give you exact details but I have a feature with my Nvidia GeForce card at home that allows the desktop to be split between to monitors. This is great as it allows the girlfriend to watch a movie and me to use the PC. You will find the setting by Right Clicking on the Desktop Selecting Properties. Click on the settings Tab and then Advanced. On the dialog that appears there will be a tab for nvidia. If you cannot find this option let me know and I will find it when I get home.

If you have not managed to sort this yet then the Setting you are looking for is Nview Display Modes. It sounds like yours is set to Horizontal Span. Change this to either Standard or clone and it should solve your problem.
