Hi
Before I try to change the PCI IRQ's in BIOS to "fixed", any ideas on this problem

The problem is that the second grahpics cards knocks-out the Sound card which only comes back after booting without a sound card. I have to run without second graphics card at the moment.

The All-in-Wonder on AGP has grabbed IRQ 11 and for whatever reason the auto grabber has allocated IRQ 11 also for the SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card.

Adding a second Graphics (XFX using an Nvidia engine) grabs IRQ10 which already has USB's on it.

My next try is to force IRQ5 in BIOS (nothing reported on it) to the Sound card PCI slot and hope that the second Graphics has no conflict with the Sound card when they are both in the system and registered.

The ATI readme suggests that the AGP slot has to be primary in a multi graphics situation, short of reflashing the BIOS I can't be sure this is not a factor. MB=Asus 750Mhz 6 years old.

Whaddayareckon?

PS Win 98 because it allows me to verify websites for legacy users. And the learning curve is not a small consideration either.

OK - back at home PC - I have delved a bit deeper.

Asus K7V MB, 750 Mhz, Slot A (OK - so I know now!), driver upgrades etc - the "AGP set to primary" setup is in the BIOS, albeit under the name VGA BIOS sequence. So AGP=Primary criterion is satisfied.

AiW Rage 128 AGP (English) - 32Mbyte AiW BIOS dated 1999 ver 001.001.032.001
Soundblaster Live 5.1 (PCI slot nearest AiW)
XFX Geforce FX 5200 PCI (not PCI express) VGA & DVI dual head
