Hi
Before I try to change the PCI IRQ's in BIOS to "fixed", any ideas on this problem
The problem is that the second grahpics cards knocks-out the Sound card which only comes back after booting without a sound card. I have to run without second graphics card at the moment.
The All-in-Wonder on AGP has grabbed IRQ 11 and for whatever reason the auto grabber has allocated IRQ 11 also for the SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card.
Adding a second Graphics (XFX using an Nvidia engine) grabs IRQ10 which already has USB's on it.
My next try is to force IRQ5 in BIOS (nothing reported on it) to the Sound card PCI slot and hope that the second Graphics has no conflict with the Sound card when they are both in the system and registered.
The ATI readme suggests that the AGP slot has to be primary in a multi graphics situation, short of reflashing the BIOS I can't be sure this is not a factor. MB=Asus 750Mhz 6 years old.
Whaddayareckon?
PS Win 98 because it allows me to verify websites for legacy users. And the learning curve is not a small consideration either.
