I'm running Win2k3 Server with dual ethernet ports. The right ethernet port regularly fails although not the left.

port 1 - External
port 2 - internal network for other machines on 192.168 network

I can always remote desktop in but after a few days I can't see the internal network once logged in. I do a maintenance re-boot and this resolves the issue. Is there some maintence, power saving processes going on I need to turn off?

Are there any errors reported in the Event Viewer? Are you using the correct subnet mask and default gateway for your internal connection? Are you running the latest newtork card drivers for your server? What is the Power option set to in Control Panel?

Card seems fine. Power's always on, drivers OK. What particular message should I be loking for in event viewer?
