Hi:

I have several DTS packages that copy data from Visual Foxpro DBF tables into SQL 7.
Each DTS package copy data from several tables into their corresponding tables in SQL.
I am executing those packages several times because I am testing an application upgrade.
I run those packages one at a time on the server, wich is dedicated to this test. There are no other users or applications on it.
Most of the time the packages run just fine, but sometimes (often) the package (any of them) stops executing its steps (different steps each time). I can move the vertical scroll bar to see the steps; if I press "cancel" it disables the button but do not cancel.
The only way I can exit is ending the task with Task Manager.
Then I re-run the package one or two more times and it completes ok.

I am using Windows 2000 Server, service pack 2, SQL 7 service pack 3.

Any help will be appreciated,

When you click "cancel" you have to wait for the rollback occurs: it may takes several minutes... keep waiting and you'll see the cause of the failure in the step.
(sorry for my poor english)

Thank you, Max.
My native language is Spanish and my English is really poor, so you don't have to worry about.

You are right about the rollback and I know when SQL is doing it because of disk activity (I am working on the server and watch the disk led).
I realize that a DTS is not responding because there is no disk activity. Then I click "cancel" and there is still no activity.

I changed the database properties to enable "select into/bulk copy" and disable "truncate log on checkpoint" and seems the problem happens less times, but still happens.
