Hi,
Below is the error message I get when I schedule my DTS. It basically drop off and recreate a table using a table with in same Database. But when I run this DTS through SEM it works fine.

DTSRun: Loading... Error: -2147287038 (80030002); Provider Error: 0 (0) Error string: The system cannot find the file specified. Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package Help file: sqldts.hlp Help context: 713. Process Exit Code 1. The step failed.

Can anyone help ?

Amir

I'm not clear on what you mean when you say, "It basically drop off and recreate a table using a table with in same Database." Is the DTS package dropping a table and then recreating it from another table? Or are you importing from a text file or another data source?

When you run a Job in SEM, it runs with the Windows login account privileges for the account running SEM. When SQL runs a job, it runs under the SQLAdmin account priveleges. It also runs in its own NT workspace. The job will fail, if it references mapped drives. These are not available for SQL Server. It will also fail if the SQLAdmin account doesn't have required permissions to read the file.

See the article, "INF: How to Run a DTS Package as a Scheduled Job (Q269074)" at...
