I have a new pc and Installed office 2000 sr-1 on it. I think that this is the same version as my old pc. However, It doesn't have the DTPicker. Is this a product of Access or VB? Any ideas on how to get this would be great. If not, can I use the Calendar Control to do the same thing? I don't want the entire calendar visible at all times. Just on click. Thanks, ken

I believe DTPicker is available only if you've installed VB or you are using the Developer's version of Office. If you do have one of them you can distribute the DTPicker file with your Access .mdb for use with your database, but you will have to go through the process of "registering" the DTPicker control on each machine.

You can use the Calendar Control and get much the same functionality. One difference is that the DTPicker looks more slick by popping down below the text box like a combo box control. I've got some code that makes the calendar control look and work much the same, but it's quite a bit messier than just using the DTPicker control. It's not hard to just use the Calendar Control if you aren't worried about getting the glitz of DTPicker, and it's available by default on all Access installations, as far as I know, so you don't have the headache of making sure that ActiveX controls are registered. -- Herb
